The short version
- These terms cover crowndev.co and the apps we operate, including our Gmail and Google Calendar assistant.
- You stay in control: the App asks before sending email or changing events that involve other people, and you’re responsible for what you approve.
- AI output can be wrong, so review drafts and summaries before relying on them.
- The App is provided as is, and you can stop using it and revoke its Google access at any time.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Crown Innovations, LLC (“Crown Innovations,” “we,” “us”). They govern your use of our website at crowndev.co and of the applications we build and operate that connect to Google accounts, including our Gmail and Google Calendar assistant (the “App”).
By using the website or connecting a Google account to the App, you agree to these Terms. If you use them on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organization.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The App is available only to people we have invited or set up, and we may decline or end access at our discretion.
3. Your Google account and the App
- To use the App, you sign in with Google and grant the permissions shown on Google’s consent screen. You confirm that you own the account or are authorized to connect it.
- The App reads email and calendar data to provide briefs, tasks, drafts, labels, and calendar changes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Actions that send email or change events involving other people wait for your approval. You are responsible for reviewing what you approve, and for messages and events sent or changed with your approval.
- You are responsible for the security of the devices and accounts connected to the App, including the Discord server where it delivers notifications.
- You can revoke the App’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
4. AI-generated content
The App uses AI models to summarize, prioritize, and draft. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date, and it may misjudge what matters. Review summaries, drafts, and suggested tasks before relying on them or sending them, and don’t use the App as your only way of tracking urgent or critical matters.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the website or the App in violation of any law or anyone else’s rights;
- connect a Google account you are not authorized to use;
- use the App to send spam or unsolicited, harassing, or deceptive messages;
- try to gain unauthorized access to, probe, or disrupt our systems or those of our providers;
- copy, resell, or reverse engineer the App, except where the law allows it;
- use the App in a way that violates Google’s terms or policies.
6. Third-party services
The App relies on services from other companies, including Google (Gmail and Google Calendar), Anthropic (AI processing), and Discord (notifications), and our website uses Cal.com for scheduling. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, changes, or actions, and features may stop working if a provider changes or withdraws its service.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information, including data received from Google APIs. Our use of that data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Your content and ours
You keep all rights to your email, calendar data, and other content (“Your Content”). You give us a limited permission to access and process Your Content only as needed to operate the App for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We and our licensors own the website and the App, including their software, text, design, and the Crown Innovations name and logo. These Terms give you no rights to them beyond using them as described here. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. Fees
The App is currently provided at no charge. If we offer paid services, we will agree on fees with you in writing before you are charged.
10. Client agreements
If you have a separate written agreement with us, such as a master services agreement or statement of work, that agreement controls wherever it conflicts with these Terms.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the App at any time by revoking its Google access. We may suspend or end your access, or discontinue the App, at any time, including if you breach these Terms or if continuing would create legal or security risk. When access ends, we delete stored data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Sections that by their nature should survive, including those on ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law, survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
The website and the App are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website or the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that the App will catch every message or event, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crown Innovations will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to these Terms, the website, or the App, even if we were advised of the possibility of those damages.
Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms, the website, or the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim arose, and (b) US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain of these limits, so they apply to you only to the extent the law permits.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Crown Innovations and its members, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the website or the App, your violation of these Terms or the law, or messages and events you approve or send through the App.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to contact the other and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute that remains will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and update the effective date, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes. If you keep using the App after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
17. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any written agreement described in section 10, are the entire agreement between you and us about their subject. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
